The Shadows of Sculpture
The melding of dark and light gives the roundness, the ethereal being of a solid form. A Painting has but two dimensions of being and gives no impressions of a solid form within. A Sculpture which is three dimensions can be walked around giving the viewer a chance to see the form melding into its self within and without. The Shadow gives evidence of a solid form, casting its reality of being for all to experience and moves with the Sun giving a "life" sense to the Work of Art.
Our Young Students learned this lesson well when they were walking around the magnificent works of James Hubbell. They will always have this newer vision of what Art Work can be.
Their Works have shadows which are to be studied and admired for their intricacy and beauty.
